Hi OX, We're on the same page. Your friend must have been big as he had assets on the line. The banks are going to do fantastic.They have a hugely steep yield curve and as you [point out they are the only game in town. The feds"saving of the Bears Stearns out there" has brought back mortgage lending under their collective banking system. When it is all said and done - it is a much stronger system going out into the future. Your friend is a very unique person. Might just do well to start his own bank? BA buying countrywide is proof of the direction this big picture event is going. IMO Bob
