Robert has a point. Obama had to be aware of some of Wright's comments......and overlooked them. We do that some times......learn to ignore the things we don't like about a particular person for the sake of the relationship. Since Obama doesn't think like a politician, he didn't severe the relationship like a seasoned politician would have. And apparently he was lucky it didn't come out during his run for the Senate. Now it has and its not good.

The question we need to ask is which candidate will the superdelegates pick now that its become apparent that Obama has baggage just like Clinton. They know that the GOPers will have have field day with this Wright stuff and America is such a conservative country.

Its very disheartening......how Obama could have ignored Wright's rants when he knew he had to run a near perfect campaign is beyond me.

>>But that is how it is being portrayed and that is what most Americans will believe.<<

How can you think most Americans are so judgmental? This is politics, and Obama's opponent is Hillary Clinton. There are ebbs and flows in campaigns. Take a step back and see if this story has legs in a week.

===> "But what if I was running for President and this priest got caught in some scandal? Wouldn't everyone automatically impute his sins to me?" <===

If the priest openly expressed views of Satan worship, or Pornography, I would wonder why your parents didn't switch to another church.

During the time that you knew the priest did he express any Satanic, or pedophile views? Of course not.

===> "There is no truth to the implication that somehow Obama is as radical as Pastor Wright." <===

There is no doubt in my mind that Obama sat through antiAmerican, racist, anti-White rhetoric, from Wright, over and over again. I would have gotten up and walked out the very first time that it happened. I question Obama's judgement in, not only staying with Wright, but selecting Wright is Obama's spiritual mentor.

===> "We're watching the destruction of one of the few people who has the personal integrity and charisma to help America be great again in the eyes of the world." <===

How is an inexperienced Obama going to warm the hearts of the many corrupt, brutal dictators of this world?

Most of the world's democracies hold the US in high regard. Most of the world's tyrants hate the US because we support freedom and democracy, and stand in their way.

===> "America is going down the toilet and we all seem to be so happily riding the vortex down the tubes. It boggles my mind." <===

We've just gotten through two disastrous terms of a man totally unqualified to be President. You think that selecting as President, an inexperienced, untested man like Obama, is going to solve our problems?

What skills, other than oratory, does Obama bring to the table? The Presidency is one of the most challenging, complex jobs in this the world. I don't know if Obama could successfully run a small, uncomplicated business. I don't know if Obama would do any good on the Apprentice reality show? Would he be the first one to be fired? I don't know.

What I do feel, that I know, is that neither Obama, Hillary, Bush or McCain have the skills required to be an effective President.

That boggles my mind.
