You've confused "sales price" with "production cost". . Medical prices have not tripled over the past year or so while costs rose only 12%. But Grain costs have tripled while costs have risen only modestly. Spend some time thinking about this concept. It may take you a while to understand since you're not familiar with economics. Farm products are in a bubble, "trade in high volumes at prices that are considerably at variance from its cost or economic value." Medical prices are not. .
