Zeta, there is a huge difference between having coffee or tea with someone you disagree with, and giving financial support while willingly sitting in attendance so that person can spout hatred toward you week after week. One is called "good manners", the other is called supporting vitriolic hate speech.

Let me see if I can give you an analogy...

Wait! Before I do, it just occurred to me they've probably been taking their children to those sermons! I can't imagine subjecting my 4 year old to a raving lunatic yelling hatred of all things American like that.

Good grief, do you think they took their toddlers?

Anyway, getting back to the analogy thing for a second...

I walk into a church and the pastor starts preaching how much he hates America, comparing our wonderful country to Nazism and so forth. So I leave.

I've attended once, heard the sermon and deemed it unfit for mental exercises toward my faith. That's what a reasonable person in America would do.

The person filled with hate in their heart who agrees with the preachers message stays, stands, cheers and returns with money and support to extend the message so others can hear.

That's what Obama and family have done.

That's not really an analogy, but oh well, sorry..
