Ed, good points and good discussion - thanks.

LNG is a baffling thing to me in general, I work in the engineering field in Houston so watched a few years ago as a bunch of LNG projects were kicked off. Seemed like an unbelievably stupid thing to me as the US already had three facilities, two of which worked at low capacity and the third was mothballed. If memory serves about a dozen project were started. That didn't make much sense to me in today's Just-In-Time environment where +/- 1% on just about anything can crash or boom a market.

So with that said, I still find LNG a mystery. I suspect that much of the imports are term contracts, so are immune to spot prices. We'll see... I always figured bigger and brighter minds saw something on the horizon I couldn't see in the gas markets.

While I appreciate your points, they don't give much credit to expanding North American production. Gas prices at today's level will result in a large production increase over time.
