Re: And out of all that has blossomed a man who could take all the good things in all the communities and keep this nation focussed on the serious economic issues which confront us today, irrespective of our race.

Whew! Are you gonna elect a US President --a mere mortal-- or... a Messiah? Don't expect too much out of Obama-the-Providential-Leader destined to redeem all of America's sins.... It won't take a single, however gifted, individual elected to the highest office to fix your racial mess overnight. Then again, it can't hurt. But you must keep in mind that the nexus of US power doesn't rest upon the White House only --the US is not a one-man rule, there are many other centres of power, all competing and vying against each other and against the White House, too.... Is the CIA headed by a black Director? Is FBI's chief Mueller a black guy? Is the US Supreme Court a melting pot? How many black bankers in Wall Street? I remember there was one Stanley O'Neill, CEO of Merryll Lynch... what's up with him? How many black four-star generals? How many black CEOs? How many blacks made it to Forbes 500 richest? So, let's get real: Obama won't be the silver bullet that, alone, will offset your racial status quo....
