Thanks uncle. I felt a little awkward posting that one. But said what the heck....

My story is actually one of the reasons I don't support the draft. Not having the draft leaves open the possibility that any young kid, from just about any place in America can join up and better him or herself if they choose. The draft keeps benefits of serving higher than they ordinarily would be as an enticement to join. It also completely removes the notion that people go to war involuntarily out of fear of reprisals.

Our family stories number in the millions. Any young kid, having a tough time in the inner city can join and change his or her life by serving the greatest country and greatest military on earth.

Pastors who preach hatred toward the country, make this less possible. They turn people away from serving, instead of toward serving.

The anti-American screed bothered me far more than the racial issues. Obama should be ashamed of this man he calls his uncle, instead of supporting his teachings financially, spiritually and with his time.

Right around the corner from that church in Chicago, probably resides one of the best uplisting churches in America desperately hoping someone like Obama would bring attention to them. Yet he remained at this one, listening to that preacher for 20 plus years.
