Thanks for the thought provoking article. I noted on Bush 43 that tyrannies are difficult to maintain; possibly more difficult than democracies. Terror is a tool of tyranny and once people reach a saturation point of fear they are much less likely to be shocked or scared. Terror works for a while and then it loses its grip over people.
