folks here keep saying they wont vote for hill and many hill voters wont vote for o or so they say. McCain may self destruct but if not he has a shot in a year he should have none.

My feeling is the Democrat has to lose because McCain isn't going to win if that makes any sense. His only hope is that Hillary and Obama shred each other leaving the winner to badly mauled to win in November. If they somehow avoid that, they win.

My thinking has somewhat changed... and although it's heresy on this thread I think Hill would be a lay down winner against McCain. But I think Obama would get so much crap thrown his way by the talk show 'conservatives' that he might get, um, swamped (for lack of a better word). Hill would get her share of attacks but it would be same old, same old, not "new news" like it is with Obama. The preacher thing was telling.

Still, I think Obama would be a desperately needed transformative President so I think it's worth the risk. I just wonder if the Dem establishment (the super delegates) will agree.

Whoever wins needs the self-proclaimed independents; almost 1/3 of the voters. That's where the battle will be.
