John,
Your detached unemotional analysis is spot on (again). And you dont get anyone pissed off at you either. From the beginning of my sojurn here, my goal is not to let obamites get too smug or too confident. I didnt invent the Wright mess out of thin air. My feeling is as of this moment is that Hillary will crush McCain. Just by the way she has fought in this campaign, most questions about her have been answered in the positive except for obamites who dont like the dirty underside of politics. Obama has shown some chinks in the armor this week. The speech was great but the wright affair could only at least in the short run have hurt him. Mike

Hi John,

at first I was a little depressed about this Wright thing, thinking that Obama will still pull out the nomination, but it may make him a loser in the GE. However, I've had time to think it through now. The non-affiliated liberals have a $400M warchest to fight McCain with. Obama is outraising McCain 5 to 1 in funding. McCain himself has provided plenty of fodder for swiftboating him. So if this thing comes down to a mudslinging contest in the GE, who always wins? The one with the most money. Therefore, it may get very ugly, but Obama can win that one.

Remember awhile ago I posted that Bill Richardson would endorse Obama and sometime thereafter Obama would announce that Richardson will be his VP? Will half of that came true today. Wait for the other half. That's my dream ticket right there. A long time back, Bill Richardson was my favorite because of his Green credentials and foreign police expertise. In addition, being governor gives him plenty of executive experience. He rounds Obama out nicely. If they pair up, they will be unstoppable.
