From the beginning of my sojurn here, my goal is not to let obamites get too smug or too confident. I didnt invent the Wright mess out of thin air. My feeling is as of this moment is that Hillary will crush McCain. Just by the way she has fought in this campaign, most questions about her have been answered in the positive except for obamites who dont like the dirty underside of politics. Obama has shown some chinks in the armor this week. The speech was great but the wright affair could only at least in the short run have hurt him. Thanks Mike. One lesson in politics is anything can and probably will happen. The Republican attack machine is a reality, and they are VERY good at it. Kerry war hero (but not a strong candidate) got nailed on his military service, how bad is that? I don't think any politician has yet figured out how to counter the 'slogan' attacks with a nuanced reply; the slogan sticks with busy, distracted voters who don't have time for a half hour speech. It's a lot of what's bad about our politics but it's real. But Hill/Bill have been attacked so much I think the average persons reaction is "yawn, what else is new". So she may have some partial immunity. Obama is fresh meat and the press loves to bring down a hero. As for the actual news value of the Obama's preacher thing, my personal feeling is it should be page 12 news and forgotten in one day. Obama has a radical preacher, so what. But the talk show guys know so well how to make a huge deal out of anything. They have really become powerful and the Dems have nothing like it. Here is another remote possibility... Message 24425544
