>>Obama does not only have half brothers and sisters but has a father, step father, and grandfather that may have been muslim. His grandmother and close relatives are still alive and looking to cash in on Obama's fame.

Are you kidding me?

You don't think the people who brought us Willie Horton and the swiftboat people are going to tar and feather Barack with this stuff?<<

Mary -

How exactly does the existence of Obama's relatives become something to tar and feather him with? How does it relate to his qualifications for office?

"Frankly, I worry that enemies of Senator Obama will seize upon details like his grandfather’s Islamic faith or his father’s polygamy to portray him as an alien or a threat to American values. But snobbishness and paranoia ill-become a nation of immigrants, where one of our truest values is to judge people by their own merits, not their pedigrees. If we call ourselves a land of opportunity, then Mr. Obama’s heritage doesn’t threaten American values but showcases them."

"Obama does not only have half brothers and sisters but has a father, step father, and grandfather that may have been muslim"

Not sure the dems have to line up to be the first to preemptive swiftboat him. Unless politics truly is a race to the bottom- in which case, why would anyone want to be part of the race?

Some of Obama's family may be in fact be Muslim, but we know for a fact that Hillary's husband is guilty of sexual assault and sexual harassment.

My concern was centered more on the cost of protecting his family who were living in other countries.

They will undoubtedly become potential targets of US enemies and will need elaborate security details.

We are in unchartered waters on this issue ( to my knowledge).

It seems like we cannot raise questions about Obama without others suspecting Xenophobic intentions. What will happen if he becomes President and it becomes imperative to ask questions about his every thought? He will analyzed by the entire world and that analysis won't be 100% supportive.

I think you need to understand the Muslim faith before you start to denounce it. There are thousands of Muslims right now serving in Iraq and some have even died for this country, protecting you.

If this can help you make an informed decision, so be it. Video is an easier form of communication than the written word. Besides, seeing is believing. So here goes.
