Of course your information is correct. But systemic pressure is building, the failure to locate is what enables the concepts overbought and oversold to function. The SEC is aware of this and is probably providing cover under the terms of plausible denyability.....but Most stock is held in retirement IRA / 401k accounts, as such, regulators need to demonstrate that a trend is in place,to incrementally clean up the mess. But prevailing systems, oligarchic money, will need shares just to sustain operations, so they will just attempt to move the game.

That is why the current plan is to move the hedge plan horizontal....to gain access to large pools of shares that might save some of these guys from the inevitable kick back of true supply and demand. Keep your ear on the local radio ads in your area, you will find new advertisers suggesting they have Bear Market strategies, its from these classes of companies, that the pool of IRA and 401K shares are being targeted for loan.

Make no mistake, the scam to sustain largess has many faces. Understand evolution of these schemes and you can at least know, the imposed rules of the game, and how they shift to sustain themselves.

ruff you said one alternative to making a brokerage not short your stock is to set a high sale price. I've done this and they always cancel my request before the day is out no matter what terms I place on them. When I called my broker and asked them why they keep cancelling my requests they say they didn't do it the Market makers did it because the stock will never get that high. I said how do they know what a stock is going to do? I feel if I place a request on stock I own no one should be able to cancel the terms. But they did. Several times. I kept replacing it and they kept cancelling it withing a short time. Just thought I'd mention my experience with this solution. Regards,
