The only thing missing from that analysis can be revealed by using the metaphor of Texas Hold 'em.

In Hold 'em, there are situations where one player has already "won" the hand. The last card has been dealt, so the "winner" has been determined to a point of mathematical certainty. But neither player can know that unless they know what cards the other is holding.

At that point, there's another round of betting. And sometimes, the person with the "losing" hand ends up taking the pot, because he makes a big bet and the other guy folds.

As long as Clinton doesn't fold, she still has a shot. I believe she's holding on in the hope that something will critically damage Obama's candidacy and force him to bow out of the race. Or possibly just that enough damage will be done to give her the victory by winning the remaining primaries by 70% of the vote or more.
