We KNOW the Buddhists did it on purpose. After 2000 years can we know for certain that Christ really wanted to be crucified? Maybe at the last minute he said, "Hey, wait a minute- I changed my mind. I don't WANT to be crucified." I mean even the bible says he said "Why have you forsaken me"- which the Buddhists didn't say.

I'm not sure even the bible gives much support for the idea that Christ WANTED to make his statement. From that statement in the bible I get the sense that he wanted God to rescue him and did NOT want to die on the cross (and who would, really?). So the Buddhists win on this one, I'd say. They don't expect God to have paid any attention in the first place, since they don't have one.
