That whole Jesus thing wasn't thought up until a century or so after his death...

I consider myself agnostic as to the story, and deeply suspicious of the men who shaped it.

I kinda like the Douglas Adams version; a Creator who is not certain whether or not his pet kitten really exists and who is endlessly fascinated by a pencil's seeming ability to make a mark on a piece of paper.
