You need to go back to some posts I made on this thread WRT outside the box thinking by the fed. I've been worried about igniting inflation, the weakening dollar etc etc but I'm equally as worried about losing financial institutions. If we have a bunch of failures its not going to be good. I've blamed the banks all along for this mess but failures are just not an option.

The Fed won't save me if I make a stupid trade and I pay their salaries. They won't save you or John

aahhhh but there is where you are wrong. I have already secured my Federal Reserve Backstop. Thus if I have a liquidity shortage... they'll take in my Paper. And give me access to their liquidity fountain of youth. ;-)
