Hmmm. Maybe we have different views of that phrase. "Love it or leave it" connotes, I think, one person ejecting, rejecting, or at least shunning another. It's person A pushing person B out. What I'm suggesting is that person B might be happier elsewhere. It's no different from suggesting that a friend who is not crazy about his job or his wife might want to seek out happiness elsewhere. I think one being forced and the other being voluntary and one being rejected and the other seeking happiness are meaningful distinctions.
