Don't be paranoid. Paper money is here to stay for the general folks. At least, RMB and HKD will survive. I guess banks may not sell physical coins & bullions if they need them under the vaults to back up the local currency.

i was surprised by the gold trading staff - no more maples in stock

Real money shortage means the price of all goods have to be deflated to meet the upcoming untrustworthy of credit, lack of borrowers, lack of spending... and that may lead to the Mother of All Deflation. Question is: will gold still be good or simply crash along with it ?

i visited the largest local bank & bullion distributor (hang seng bank hq branch) for second helping of gold maple leafs

there are plenty of South Africa Krugerand in stock. You don't need them ?

I bought 1 maple leaf and no more left

How about Australian Gold Nugget in plastic case ?

Today's report bought Some GIGM calls strike 20 Jan and Oct
+XKRAD 2.25 ( last week actually) and +GBUJB 1.70..Can't help my self.....If I believed in'em I'd see a shrink.

You STILL buyin gold? I should think you would've learned your lesson by now....Oh that's right Gold has gone up.
