One of the biggest reasons to be a democrat is they don't have the freaky religious right. They aren't interested in having every girl who gets pregnant deliver a bouncing baby, and they aren't likely to care what you do in your bedroom, or with whom you do it. Lots of people like that. Lots of people think it's important- and those values (or "lack" thereof, according to the righties) are especially important when it comes to nominating justices for the SC.

Well the Iraq war maybe? Or return of our government to the people from the hands of special interest. Or to get the government out of our private lives. Or to take on GWarming. Or to further the incentive of alternate energy. Or to concentrate our efforts at home instead of being the world's guardian.

Well you can see - there are other reasons.
