Kate,

I think one of the reasons why there may be more clinton voters who say they won't vote for Obama is the constant vilification of their candidate by the party, by the press and the Obama campaign. And every time they try to fight back it is labeled dirty politics.

I do think that given enough time and space, that most will eventually vote for Obama. There isn't another choice. The other choice is to sit on your hands. I don't see Clinton's supporters going over in large numbers to the republican side unless something else happens to drive them there. I think one of the things that can drive them there is some sort of inequitable solution to michigan and florida. I think that Dean is waiting and hoping that the situation resolves itself but the dems should really decide on something. They will lose Florida and possibly Michigan if they disenfranchise the voters there.

I think that once Obama wins the nomination, that Clinton will endorse him and do what she can to help the dems win. Hard to say what the Wright flap does to Obama in November. I don't think it will be a big deal unless a tape comes out and shows that Obama was in his seat when some of these fiery sermons were given.
