I think it the case with most corporations, that when a secondary offering comes down the pipes, the stock recedes and flat lines for a while.

Looking back at the CHK chart, I recall that they sold off heavily and stagnated when they did a convertible offering post or mid-KatRita. Most other gassy E&Ps soard, but then sold off in January of '06 when it was 80F in Washington on New Year's Day.

Unbelievable how CHK was basically flat for the last two years. Quite a time in the penalty box. Yes there was the big glut, but that stasis was just ridiculous.

I hope its clear to all that the gas crisis i just beginning.

Mind you I just bought a pile of Jan '10 LEAPs. I believe that I will be selling a lot of OTM calls against them. Actually mybe sell some ITM calls - turn them into credit spreads.
