I always found them OK in Quebec City... agree on the smaller towns mostly, especially along the lower Saint Lawrence.. but I have no Tennessee accent :O) Then again they could be VERY prickly in Montreal, my home town where the mass of English Quebecers were.. hard for me to say though as I definitely have a Montreal accent.. Had a very negative experience in a Tim Hortons (fast becoming an iconic Canuck donut shop) up near Mont Tremblant last year.. A woman from Ontario had a hat on with a Canada flag... The guy behind the counter was giving her a hard time since she came to Quebec and didn't wear a Quebec flag LOL..

So I reminded him that he actually lived in Canada and asked if he had the same attitude towards Americans. Mostly the rancor is against fellow Canadians in my experience. Anyway he informed me that they didn't need US tourists.. Maybe the USD depreciation is his fault... like one of those genie wishes with unintended consequences... Just goes to show that we Canucks have rednecks too and they don't necessarily speak 'murican in any variant ;O)
