Blaming "the left" for the failure of Iraq is so weak an argument it is beneath contempt.

Isn't that just a bit harsh? I think the left, along with its supporting left wing media, has a lot to do with the prolonged difficulties in iraq... how can you not see it? To call it "beneath contempt" is kind of over the top, don't you think?

I think the left is certainly to blame, as well as our unbelievably soft approach to iran... more than 52% of our troop deaths are a direct result of iran's support of the war against our efforts, so there's plenty of blame to go around, but the left is absolutely responsible for a significant share of the blame...

When America doesnt stand with a UNITED FRONT at its borders its very difficult if not impossible to accomplish its objectives. Foreigners take advantage of the rifts caused by people like Murtha, Pelosi and others that put POLITICAL INTERESTS ahead of AMERICAN INTERESTS. If you cant see that, then you are hopelessly stuck in the Democratic rut. jdn

The main problems with dividing Iraq are the unequal oil distribution and Turkey being vehemently opposed to it.

No doubt...GWB and the Admin have made plenty of blunders in prosecuting the war and occupaiton...BUT to say that the naysaying and undermining coming from the left on a daily basis is not part of the problem is certainly not "over the top"....it is FACT.
