"The global system is making a major shift now, as we have been discussing. Having gotten off balance and bogged down in the Islamic world, the only global power is trying to extricate itself while rebalancing its foreign policy and confronting a longer-term Russian threat to its interests. That is a delicate maneuver, and one that requires deftness and luck."

And somebody else's checkbook.

Added to SRS at 90 and went back into SKF at 101 and change.

What did you think of the April Fool's rally?

Who are the fools?

Ukraine in NATO is a no-brainer.

Ukraine's part of Europe. Every European country should be in NATO.

Geographically, every country on the Eurasian continent west of the Urals is in Europe, but we don't expect Russia in NATO soon. We probably wouldn't turn them down, but they don't seem eager.

Pride maybe. We certainly don't consider them enemies. Not like, say, China.
