Funny, MM...Both of us thought the same thing while watching John Adams....And John Adams was much less a firebrand than was his cousin Samuel....I didn't know that John was not a rich man in the early times.... What we in the US don't have is Statesmen (and women - i.e. Margaret Thatcher)....we have biased and partisan politicians for the most part. I agree on Bolton...he's a good counterpoint...We need more of folks like Bolton. We were a little disappointed in the 3rd episode...But a friend who has read McColloughs book, said the boat trip over was one of his most favorite and meaningful parts about the man himself. I have the book, just need to find time to read it.
