By "situation", are you referring to the mess we're facing in Iraq? If so, that was your president's doing which he did exclusively on his own. The level of incompetency manifested by this administration has been nothing short of extraordinary. And you thought they were the best thing since ice cream.

I believe the war has gone badly at times, and Bush has to accept responsibility for that (particularly, in the months immediately prior to the surge); but I've never been opposed to it because I think it is something that had to happen, and in fact, should have happened in the late 90s when Clinton allowed Saddam to repeatedly make us look weak in the eyes of the entire Middle East. Showing weakness to these fanatics does nothing other than spur them on.
