Key Sentence: For decades liberals have trafficked in identity politics. Why is it so hard for them to understand that some people "identify" above all as Americans, and that "God damn America" is a slur against who they are? As I said, I think Taranto really put in those few words what and who exactly has been the cause of so very much angst in America. IDENTITY POLITICS. Pandering for votes from different ethnic groups. (Doesn't matter what color or creed) Pandering for votes from unions. (Especially teachers and government workers) Pandering for votes to whatever lobbying group they can. (i.e. Trial lawyers) For about 150+ years, or more if you count the early 1800's Abolitionists, the Republicans have taken the lead to rid this country of race discrimination, race envy, and every other race related issue. Especially the Republicans who lived in the North. What exactly have the Dems done over the years, besides cause massive Socialists programs to be enacted??????.... Pretending to be Robin Hood, but in fact, stealing from the very folks who are actually working and trying to support their families.
