Do you have any idea who makes it?

This unit was from Inventec, but they were just used to manufacture a prototype. The commercial devices will come from HTC, Samsung and others.

How could all those features, plus a large screen meet a $300 price point?

I was surprised by this number as well. I was figuring between $400 and $500 for the first Snapdragon based devices. Hopefully, that marketing person knew what she was talking about.

Unfortunately, the device is only half of the equation. We are going to need the carriers to come up some decent pricing plans. A flat-rate $20-$25 plan or per day charges would be a nice start.
