When it comes to education, I think he was blessed in comparison to others, only because he had a mother who made sure he got a good education. My own background is similar to his. I'm the son of an immigrant who came to this country with no money. My parents worked very hard and literally spent all of their money to educate us. The education they provided has enabled me to live the American dream, but it left my parents without a retirement other than social security. So we support them now. Anyone who looked at how my family lives now would say that we are priveleged, but the real fact is that my parents sacrificed themselves for us and that made all the difference in the world.

This country needs to elect people who have directly experienced the American Dream in their lifetimes to ensure that the dream is kept alive for others around the world. That is what makes America special. No sons or daughters of America who were born with silver spoons in their mouths from day one, like Hillary or McCain, can ever truly understand what that means. Obama does understand it, because he lived it, and only very recently with his book sales did he acquire wealth.
