Some questions on your "probably's"

I probably would have put enough troops into Iraq so that the country wouldn't have fallen into chaos soon after we defeated the Iraqi Army.

So, you would NOT have paid attention to the Generals in the field, right? If you didn't do that, how would you know as POTUS, how many you would need? Were you going to run the war from your office?

I probably would have INSISTED that the Iraqi Army NOT be disbanded, but instead used as a stabilizing force.

Saddam's OWN Republican Guard????? You would have WANTED them as spys into our Military? How would you have trusted them? Especially since those troops were the very ones that Saddam used to roust people from their beds at night, tortured them, and many were never seen again.....

And what would you have done with the others who were in the Iraqi Army? Trusted them to do what exactly?

I probably would have chosen the first people to try to organize things over there based on expertise and experience rather than Republican Party affiliation.

Oh, you mean like Wes Clark....the General who was fired? Exactly who would you have put in that had more experience? And I'm sure you know that the Pentagon, and DoD and State all are totally loaded with people of both political persuasions, don't you? We see the Leftist POV from those departments seemingly nearly every week, and sometimes more often, in the daily papers. Did you think that GWB should have done what the Clintons' did when they had over 1000 FBI files in the private quarters on their dining room table? Otherwise, how would you know?

Every time the Military, the State Department or anybody else went to Rumsfeld to talk about what would happen after the actual fighting was over, he just brushed them off. We're STILL paying for Rumsfeld's ARROGANCE and we will be for a long time.

I don't agree with you at all here. BUT then again, there will be books done on this administration. We by now, all know what the politics are of the people who write or edit the books. The best thing we can find are the actual records, letters, etc made by the people themselves. I hope I live long enough to see those papers.
