Those things were a real nuisance around here last spring. So far, I haven't seen a single one. Pinging one of 'em with your BB gun is the best way to get rid of them, but it's totally illegal around here.

Knew a guy who did that at 6 am on a Sunday morning. He used a 12 gauge and woke the neighbors amd blew a hole in siding close to where his wife was sleeping. Killed the woodpecker and his marriage.

Our neighbor had a woodpecker eating his house, but it was wooden. Do you have a wooden house?
