Yeah, we saw what eight years of clinton's appeasement sowed...

"Which is why we need to continue these policies. It is much more dangerous now than before..."

Like in Iraq - it doesn't matter HOW we got to this place, we're HERE now! Deal with it!

combjelly...I don't really know what we should do at this point.

I DO know that we've got to start "talking" to people and "listening". The Europeans are more on the frontlines of terrorism than we are. All the Bush Idiots keep saying WE haven't been attacked since 9/11, but Spain and Britain can't say the same. The next President has to go to the Europeans and say "We're sorry that the last IDIOT got all of us into this mess, but we need to work together to extricate ourselves." He/She has to tell them that we will NOT unilaterally decide who should be in NATO and which countries we will "unilaterally" put missile defense systems into.

We HAVE to realize the economic realities and work WITH Europe to support the dollar and create trade policies that benefit BOTH the European Union and the U.S. WE are "supposed" to be the LEADER of the Western Nations, but we have been acting like we are an ignorant adversary rather than a partner.
