The intelligence information received from the CIA is a self-contained package; you cannot just choose to ignore it unless there is some reason to doubt its accuracy.

As we know, the mistakes were equal opportunity in nature - -Clinton believed they WMD, the Bush administration believed it, the relevant congressional committees believed it, in short, if you're going to charge CIA with gathering such information you don't just ignore it.
