Well like I posted to Lazurus Long.. I think of it in terms of the loonie and I fail to see barring a further catastrophe how the relative value can get too much more apart for any lengthy period.. Canada can't take it commodities or no... if China and India do not collapse it supports the closer relative value of the loonie and USD... if commodities reverse trend well the loonie will drop.. but Canada is still fine as that would be supportive of the larger Ontario / Quebec economies anyway..

ie. Iran would be a catastrophe and longer term I cannot see how it could be supportive of the USD... I don't think it will happen.
