"The issue is that more and more of our resources will be going to entitlements. Not just in nominal dollars or real dollars, but as a portion of our economy...." That's ONE issue alright! I would try to phrase the issue a little more directly though by complaining that the SLICE of GNP that the government takes out of the economy is growing LARGER and LARGER (thus: reducing the productivity of the economy). OTHER huge problems are things like: The much-too-high tax bite in our nation. And, the VASTLY MUCH TOO COMPLEX and CORRUPTED that our tax codes have become.... (also producing a hugely unproductive effect on the economic potential of our nation.)
