That may create a bit of unfairness, sure but it also explains why 90% of all taxes is paid by the folks the dems label as rich.

Not true when you consider ALL taxes paid. There is so much emphasis on Fed income tax which is progressive, but the majority of taxes are regressive and hit the middle income to poor folks much harder.

You have two assumptions in there that are simply false. So I'll play assumption buster here:
1) you say we need the rich to work the long hours: false, the poor work very long hours and sometimes work several jobs to make ends meet. It is a myth to say the rich work harder.
2) you say that the rich may calculate that it's not worth working at all if their taxes go up. Let's not be ridiculous. The rich will continue to work, otherwise, they will find themselves in the ranks of the poor. If I make a million a year and they increase my taxes, I still make a lot of money. I'll survive and it sure beats making $70K per year.
