Our resources - our economy - are being sucked into the toilet in the mindless war in Iraq while the smart countries buy us chunk by chunk.

I appreciate that general concern. But I appreciate differentiation, too. A US tech company being bought by one with foreign roots just isn't in a class with squandering billions in Iraq. And scatter shot, to boot.

Now, just what is the impact of that MLNM acquisition on the trade deficit?

About 1% of our newly produced resources each year.

1% is still a big waste if you think its mindless and a toilet, but 1% doesn't seriously sink our economy.
