Knighty,

they are unrelated now. i don't know the why, but dr. sears sold out the ability to sell the zone perfect bars as they do.

perhaps he couldn't refuse their offer.

however, he does sell his own version of zone bars, which i'm sure are much more healthy, but they are too pricey for me.

i'm liking my workout results so far. i'm improving pretty significantly in all workouts, although bicep curls do seem to progress more slowly than everything else.

in order to lift with more control and better form, i dropped from 170 x 7 to 145 lbs. my bench results since i dropped are 145 x 9, 150 x 9, 155 x 11, 160 x 9 and 165 x 9. that's not one set per week, but three sets per week, so i went from 145 x 9 to 165 x 9 in about 12 days. that rate won't last since i did drop significant weight to work on form and much of the improvement is getting more comfortable with better form, but i might just take out 170 x 8 on monday, in which case i'm already testing 175 at least 1-2 weeks faster than i anticipated.

i feel pretty confident that i will be able to reduce my 5 lb, 21 day progression to something less than that. the first test will be the time it takes me to go from 170 x 8 to 175 x 8. at least for a while. i think i might be able to do close to 225 lbs x 8 by the end of the year (my max 20 years ago was 225 x 2, and i recall that being exceptionally heavy for my then 170 lb frame and body - 10 lbs heavier than i am today).
