The problem with your survey is that it applies only to one type of proposal - a plan that would require everyone with insurance to switch.

If that were the only way to skin this cat, I'd say you were right. Instead, I'd say that such a survey makes an excellent propaganda tool, but doesn't tell the whole story as far as support for some form of universal healthcare coverage goes.

Not a bad plan, as far as it goes. I don't see how it would reduce costs, however.
