IMHO, this comment spoils what is otherwise a good post. How do we define "religion"? It can be a very broad concept - even if limited to recognized "organized" religions. And what makes the believer a "nut"? I understand what you mean, but we may want to avoid such blanket statements. Just wanted to mention this.

Polygamy is an abomination. Genetics dictate a relatively equal distribution of the sexes. I for one don't want frustrated males blowing themselves up for imaginary virgins in the afterlife.

You are inserting your personal marriage preferences as the standard for the country. Worldwide, I suspect there is just almost as much polygamy as their is monogamy.

I was contrasting the standard we demand of Christians with the standard we let get by with Muslims.
