What has Powell or Rice accomplished? Powell was chopped off at the knees by Cheney and Rumsfeld, and just milked for the credibility he lent to the Iraq war and sent to "unknowingly" (according to him) lie to the UN. Rice has been given several assignments, failed, only to have Cheney sent behind her, presumably to do a white man's job. But, he's also failed.

The Bushies just don't do diplomacy worth a damn. Bush/Cheneyco believe it isn't required.

"Huh? These are Secretaries of State. I'm not sure how you can "give" a person more power without them being elected."

In principle, you have a point. In practice, both were over-ruled by Cheney and Rumsfeld on a whim. Especially Condi. Note how many times Powell or Rice had spent time to work out something or another only to have Cheney fly in right before everything was finalized and announce a different solution.

..and did he listen to either one or give them any REAL power or decision making ability?

Huh? These are Secretaries of State. I'm not sure how you can "give" a person more power without them being elected.

The question is read simple....what evidence do we have he listened to either one of them?
