That's it. i don't eat that too often because i'm busy enjoying stir fries, tortilla chicken soup, ham and mustard wraps, golean cereal, tofu soup, chicken salad, chili, etc... of course, i balance out whatever is lacking, be it carbs, fat and/or protein. as an aside, scientists have known for a looooong time that people who ate more fruits and veggies had less incidence of cancer. they have studied fruits and veggies for quite some time and haven't been able to pin point why. dr. sears believes the evidence indicates it isn't necessarily what is in the fruits and veggies, rather, it is what one is *not* eating when they eat lots of fruits and veggies - the high density carbs that drive d5d really high and drive all that omega 6 fatty acids into arachidonic acid - the building block for pro-inflammatory eicosanoids. another aside is that pro-inflammatory eicosanoids reduce cyclic amp within a cell and anti-inflammatory eicosanoids increase cyclic amp within cells. this is important because more cyclic amp within a cell means better cellular communication and, therefore, improved immune function. while feeling great with loads of energy is by far the best part, getting washboard abs for the first time in my life in my 40s and being able to out lift my late teens and early 20s is awful fun, too. :-) google "goodle books" and search "anti-inflammation zone" and you will be able to read most of the book online. it isn't the greatest howto book, but it is a great why book. frankly, i don't think any book is good at howto, you just have to digest the principles and learn to apply them on the fly. it is confusing until it isn't - then it is very easy. good luck - you will be very glad you did this.
