i think loony is a given for labeling someone as... beyond the pale and being dismissive of their views. afterall, shouldn't a loony be a loony-bin?

as to hysteria - what does that constitute? if your staple food is tortillas and they triple in price within months and most of the cents (cents - not 10s to 100s of dollars - a day) you earn a day go to buying said tortillas and some beans... might you get upset? and to say that is being 'hysterical' is being dismissive. for people who have no idea what it means to spend on beans and tortillas to survive and then find they can not even afford that to suggest that getting up in arms because it over rising corn prices for 'supposedly' the use of corn for fuel purposes is 'hysteria'... what is with that? and for all the people i know worried about global warming, i've not met one hysteric. pretty sure i've not met a 'hysteric' since the early 1900's when women were commited to asylums for the 'illness'.

ooopsies. sorry. that was nearly a rant. a hysteric one? ah, is you, Lane. you surely know this subject get me in grrr mode. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr from your local loon.

I think it is fair to say Al Gore is hysterical about global warming. He has used the hysteria he has created nicely for his own benefit. I fully characterize him as a leading example of the looney left.
