i think loony is a given for labeling someone as... beyond the pale and being dismissive of their views. Do you not think there are any ideas that are so far out there that they warrant dismissal? If not, maybe we should have a flat-earth seat at the National Science Foundation table. to say that is being 'hysterical' is being dismissive If you have no food, you are entitled to be hysterical. It isn't helpful, but you are still entitled to it. If you are hysterical over finding that there are oxygen molecules in the water, not so much. Choosie, I am receptive to a wide range of ideas and tolerant of a humongous one. I do, though, believe there are some that are beyond the pale and do not warrant indulgence. I have my cutoff and I do disregard those POVs that pass it.
