If you go by them, he was a devout Christian, talking about God and Christ more often than socialism.

His speech's rarely mentioned God and Christ. Most were about how Germany was mistreated and how the rulers gave in too early. He never spoke about the right to bear arms, and sometimes spoke of free health care, unemployment, minimum income, and other socialist ideals. His party called itself a socialist party, they hated communists, but that is only because they were a threat that stood in the way of taking power.

OMG CJ, Hitler exploited nationalism, just like conservatives exploit patriotism. Conservatives MUST be Nazis!

Next you'll tell me that the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was actually more right-wing than anything else.

People who call Hitler a devout Christian do so in order to insult Christianity, I think.

Seems pretty clear Hitler wasn't a believer, though even he didn't come out and declare that openly.

The right to bear arms? He instituted gun control. And he didn't exactly impose low taxes or free private enterprise either. If he promised them he was lying, and I would care more about the reality than the campaign speeches.

In particular for free enterprise, his economic policies where fascist, which means that enterprise, generally isn't nationalized, but is expected to server the purposes of the state (determined by Hitler and his underlings)

he was a devout Christian
