Hamas is already claiming that the visit with Carter gives them credibility. Link. BTW Hamas is "credible". I just don't see how you can make a statement that it won't hurt; it already has. I didn't make "a statement" I said "my guess is...". The official posture of the US is, and has been for years, that it doesn't negotiate with terrorists. Who is negotiating? I cannot remember an ex-president behaving so foolishly at any time in the past. You guys and your righteous indignation crack me up. Doesn't Jimmy have "freedom of speech"?
