Yes, I'd like to see back and forth between the candidates, too. Something more free-form or organic.

We had one debate with them sitting at a table that I think was somewhat in that style.

Don't know about the unmoderated part. A moderator is OK as long as any personal bias is completely absent and the tone of the questions is completely respectful.

There was a tone to many of the questions last night that was adversarial. Don't know what the point of that is in the whole scheme of things. I prefer to take any pol running for office at his or her word....that they honestly want to be a public servant and will work hard to legislate and govern in a responsible, judicious manner...and I don't like all the cheap shots and inferences some of the moderators and/or interviewers seem to think their job requires.

Where does this come from? There's absolutely no way to know how someone will govern until they get in there and try to do the job.
