General says Iraq 'starting to unravel'

"We don't want to threaten Iran militarily," said McCaffrey, who now runs his own consulting firm and is a military affairs analyst for NBC. "One of the things the next president has to do is to get in there and talk to them."

Guess that means Obama huh? This is really depressing as Afghanistan is starting to unravel too.

McCaffrey's been saying this sort of thing for some time. Including the notion that it doesn't matter who gets elected in 08. That person will have to withdraw from Iraq because the US citizenry will simply demand it.
