The Last Wave, which the movie ends with, is the end of Dream Time for the whole world. i live with a belief/hope/faith i will wake up into something very beautiful:) But a thread that runs through much of "Primitive Beliefs" is the this dimension world is illussion, they do NOT romanticize it, nor hold it to be the be all or end all of what is, they never view it as the keystone, the center point of life's meaning, that being this time is all that counts and progress the sacred engine. Aboriginal peoples will collapse into alcoholism and despair because when the "superior" world, Modern Man, annihilates their whole culture by saying "You retards, it is all about Materialism and getting ahead and you are Big F---ing Stupid Losers that foolishly waste your life believing that reality is the Spirit World. The central point of my "Am i weird ---thread" is the New Cosmology has raised a strong possibility the aboriginals have been right at along and it is we that are the RETARDS. In the end i am about ultimate optimism BUT i strongly believe in Justice. i will quote that guy from Nazareth again, "The First will be Last and the Last will be First".
